The sentence
Section titled “The sentence”Stratl keeps a signed, verifiable record of every consequential decision your AI systems make, filed under the person it affected, in storage you control, and produces what regulators, auditors and affected people ask for.
Why now
Section titled “Why now”Three things happened at once. Companies moved from AI that recommends to AI that acts: refunds are issued, claims are denied, accounts are closed, without a person in the loop each time. Regulation caught up: Colorado’s automated decision law applies from 2027, the EU AI Act’s deployer duties from December 2027, lending and insurance rules already require notices and records for adverse decisions. And the tools engineers use to watch AI, the tracing dashboards and provider logs, were built for debugging, not for evidence: they can be edited, they live with vendors, and they say nothing about who was allowed to act.
The gap is not “we have no logs”. It is “we cannot prove, to someone who does not trust us, what happened and who allowed it”.

What it costs to adopt
Section titled “What it costs to adopt”Stratl does not replace anything. An agent needs a few lines of code, or nothing at all if it already emits OpenTelemetry traces or runs on a platform Stratl can read from. Records flow within an hour of connecting a source. The portal is used by two or three people: whoever answers regulators, whoever runs the agents, and an auditor with read-only access.
Custody can start in Stratl’s account, in the region you choose, and move to your own cloud later without losing history; the move itself is signed by both keys so it can be proven.
What Stratl will not do
Section titled “What Stratl will not do”It will not block or slow an AI system: it records, it does not gate. It will not tell you a decision was correct or fair. It will not say you are compliant; its packs say which evidence supports which control and where the gaps are. It will not hold your prompts, documents or customer data in any searchable form; it holds fingerprints and, only if you choose, the originals in your own storage.
